Asclepias verticillata - Whorled Milkwee

A Must-Have for Monarchs

Asclepias verticillata

Common name: Whorled Milkweed

It's hard to believe the fine, needle-like foliage of verticillata belongs to the milkweed family - it looks more like Amsonia. Yet, Monarchs adore it and place eggs on it for little caterpillars to grow. Grows well in loose soil, plan on dividing every 3 - 4 years. (Unable to ship to AK, HI)
